On account of LifeSkills Week, we had the privilege of hosting Dr. Vijayaprabha, the esteemed Medical Officer from DPS Bangalore North, as our resource person on 18th October 2023.Dr. Vijayaprabha addressed our students from Grades 5-8 on the crucial topics of personal hygiene and sex education. It was an engaging and informative session where students felt comfortable to ask their questions about their physical health.
Our students were proactive in seeking knowledge and addressing their concerns. Dr. Vijayaprabha’s session perfectly sums up the spirit of the day: “Informed choices lead to a healthier life. Your questions today pave the way for a brighter, healthier tomorrow.”
We believe that this knowledge empowers our students to make informed decisions and take care of their well-being.
A session on story telling regarding an important lifeskill – ‘ empathy’ was conducted.
We had the opportunity to host Ms Shylaja Venkateswaran, who is a Chartered Accountant by profession and an enthusiastic storyteller by passion.
The gatherings of grade 3 and 4 were very well engaged by the excellent storytelling skills of the host. Along with the story, students were also guided to build stories of their own. The session was engaging and it met the purpose.
