“Let us have music for Christmas…Sound the trumpet of joy and rebirth; Let each of us try, with a song in our hearts, To bring peace to men on earth.”
The spirit of Christmas was celebrated with lots of cheer and fervour at DPSBW. The program started with the story of Christmas where the birth of Jesus was explained in the form of a skit presented by the students of grade 7. The students of grades 4 and 5 also performed a skit on cleanliness inspiring children to have a sparkling Christmas and inculcating the habit of cleanliness in their daily lives. The tiny nimble feet of students of grades 1 and 2 showcased a beautiful Christmas dance followed by a dance of the students of grades 3, 4 and 5. The children were thrilled when the essence of Christmas came alive when Santa joined them for the dance. The delightful celebration included children coming in red and white colour party dresses, bringing their favourite food for lunch, dancing and sharing the merriment. The main attraction of the day was the carol singing which was performed by a group of carol singers who enthralled our students with their melodies. The day ended on a note of joy and cheer and the students looked forward to their winter break wishing everyone happy holidays.
